Though you still have your doubts about Allister, one thing is for sure that whatever power that weird stone has given him, his navigation is impeccable. You end up on dry land in only two days time, which was better than what Charles had suggested.
During the two days, you’ve seen Arthur go from bad to worse. As it would have it, the supplies were conveniently going low at the same time of heading back to port, so the fresh water was scarce to come by. Eventually, you have to throw the water out because there are… things floating in it. You check Arthur’s wound and swallow hard because it’s becoming more red, meaning more infection. If nothing else, helping your father with his wound and having the doctors on land help you understand a little was enough to let you know that Arthur was not getting better. Without the fresh water to wipe the sweat away, his blonde hair was becoming greasy and slick with sweat. You even had to take the eye patch off of his face (which grossed you out a little) so that his eye wouldn’t get infected.
You are surprised that he has an eye there at all due to your misassumption that all pirates with eye patches have no eye under there. For some reason it never dawned on you that, duh, there was an eye there, there was just something wrong.
You lay next to Arthur to keep him steady during the night and at some point his head falls on your shoulder. It shouldn’t excite you that much because you know good and well that he has no idea what he’s doing. But it’s nice all the same…

“[Y/N], how is he?” Allister asks, walking up to you and kneeling beside you.
“He needs medical care as soon as possible. Without fresh water to keep the sweat from dripping, I’m afraid he may not last much longer.”
Allister nods and touches Arthur’s head softly.
“He hasn’t moved since last you were here.” You inform him. “Does that mean something?”
“What do ye mean?”
“Usually he is flopping around and at least making facial expressions, whether it be dreams or what not, but sometime yesterday he stopped making expressions and has been very limp.”
Allister frowns and looks at Arthur’s chest. You freak out a little because you were too concerned to even think about the fact that he could be dead. Luckily, after a few seconds, a small rise and fall of his chest lets you know you haven’t just let a man die and worry leaves you.
“He is falling deeper into unconsciousness and closer to death. We should be close to port soon.”
You nod and sigh, wishing you could do something for Arthur…

You finally hear someone yell out ‘land ho!’ and an hour or so later, you feel the boat dock. Elated, you look over at Arthur, but he’s more limp than before. You gasp and begin to shake him violently.
“Arthur! Arthur! Wake up! ARTHUR! Help! Someone help me!”
The door opens and Allister almost falls into the door with Yao behind him.
“What is it? What’s going on?”
“It’s Arthur, something’s wrong.”
Allister pulls you off of his brother and puts his ear to Arthur’s chest.
“Aye, that infection has gotten to him. He’s on the brink. Yao, find a stretcher and send for a doctor to the house!”
“Aye, aye!” Yao said, saluting and running away.
Allister bent down and whispered something into Arthur’s ear and he suddenly jerked his head, making a face. Allister was still talking into his ear when Arthur punched him in the face.
“Bloody Scotsman… tá súil agam tú bás…”
Allister laughed. “Oh, ho, ho! He’s fine, lass. With a mouth like that, he’ll survive that’s for sure.”
“What did he say?”
“He just hopes I die.” Allister says with a shrug.
You stare at him in horror.
“You seem to take a lot of Captain Kirkland’s threats very lightly, Captain.”
“We’ve been at it for years. Ever since we thought it a grand idea to become pirates together. What a stupid thing to do… and on the same ship…” he says with an air of affection that you don’t understand.
A few minutes later, Yao comes back with a stretcher and you move out of the way so that Allister and Yao can move Arthur onto it. They carry him out of the room and you follow, walking behind them slowly and toward the gangplank. As you go toward you, it stop for a second. It’s only been a few weeks but it’s like this has become your home now. It will be so strange to be back on land again…
“Are ye coming, lassie?” Allister calls over his shoulder.
You nod and run off the gangplank onto the dock.
Most of the pirates are off of the dock and waiting for Allister and Yao to bring Arthur down. They stop and someone takes over Allister’s place as he turns to the other pirates.
“Yao, Kelly, [y/n], and I will take Arthur up to the house. Get supplies, for as soon as Arthur is well we will be shipping off again.”
“What do you want us to do with Francis?” someone asked.
“Leave that bloody Frenchman in the brig for a while. I’m tired of looking at his face.”
Some of the crew chuckles and you follow Allister as he makes his way through a dense forest ahead.

“How much longer before we get to where we are going?”
“Not much further.” Allister encourages. “Dinnae worry, Arthur will be fine. Dinnae what will become of everyone else at the house but for now I ken that Arthur will be looked after.”
“This house you speak of, is it your hometown? As in your house?”
“Aye, the house we grew up in.”
As you round a bend, you finally see a huge house that is set up a little higher from normal houses and has about a thousand stairs leading to the front door. If you weren’t skinny enough, you would be by the time you were given back to your father. The house is on a secluded part of the beach, the waves lapping up on the shore and looks very peaceful-
“Allister Kirkland, ba chóir dom tú a mharú!” an obnoxiously loud woman yells from the tops of the stairs.
You can just barely see red hair blowing in the wind from where you are and Allister makes a face.
“Doesnae anyone ever have a kind word for me?”
You shrug and watch the woman put her hands on her hips as she watches you all start to head up the stairs.
Cad a thug tú dom inniu, Scotsman?”
Anam ghortú. Beidh tú in iúl dó fanacht anseo?
“Is it that English bastard?” she growls.
“Aye, I’m afraid so.”
“Then I don’t want him here. Take him away-“
“Arthur!” a young voice yells out.
“Alfred!”
A young boy runs down the stairs toward you all but Allister grabs him up.
“Let me go! Let me go! I wanna see Arthur!” the boy yells, kicking Allister.
“He’s not well, boy. I can let you see him but I have to hold ye, alright?”
“Why? What happened to Arthur?”
Watching the stretcher pass by, the boy’s blue eyes widen as he watches Arthur be brought up the stairs. He looks up at Allister, tears brimming.
“Alli, what happened to Arthur?”
“Dinnae worry, he’ll get better soon. Yao has sent for the doctor and he should be coming soon.”
“That piece of shit isn’t coming in the house, Allister.” The woman growls as everyone goes up.
“Aoife, please, stop being so heartless. I ken he’s done ye wrong but the boy’s hurt.”
The girl, Aoife, stares at Allister with low green eyes, her messed up more carrot colored hair in a messy braid over her shoulder making her look like a maid of some sort.
“Who’s the one that got him?”
“Spaniard, I’m afraid.”
“He let that bastard shoot him?”
“He wasnae aware of it. The stone made him unable to feel.”
Aoife’s eyes widen and she looks at you for a second. After a moment she sighs and walks away.
“That went rather well…” Allister says with a small smile.
“Am I missing something here? Who is that?”
“That be our half-sister, the lovely Aoife.”

The doctor doesn’t take long to get there and immediately begins to work with Arthur’s condition. You are stuck outside of the room with Kelly and Aoife.
“English bastard, gone and got himself shot.”
“I’m afraid it was my fault, he was coming for me.” You say, looking at the ground.
“Don’t see why you’re important to get shot over. He disappoints me every time I see him.” Aoife growls, tightening her hand into a fist. “When he wakes up, I’m going to punch him.”
“No! Don’t hurt him more, Aoife.” Alfred says, pulling at her dress. “Arthur’s hurt real bad!”
“Aye, I know that little one…”
You look at Alfred, whose nose is runny and has tear stains on his face, and wonder exactly who he is.
“Is this his son?”
“No, a friend of Arthur’s named Tino found the boy and after a visit, Arthur took him in… and then he left him here for me to take care of.” Aoife frowned. “Damn thing…”
“Why do you hate him so much?” you ask, genuinely curious.
“Why don’t we all have some tea?!” Kelly yells louder than usual, scaring Alfred.
“Yes, tea seems very good.”
They leave when you bump into something and look down.
“Oh, hello.”
The strawberry blonde boy looks up at you, holding a stuffed bear. You bend down to him, smiling.
“What’s your name?”
“Matthew.” He says softly, snuggling the bear in his face.
“It’s nice to meet you Matthew. I’m [y/n]; would you like to come to tea with us?”
“Me?” he asks, his violet eyes beaming.
“Of course. Come along…”
He takes your hand and you lead him to the living room.
“Where’s Francis?” he asks.
You freeze for a second and then smile.
“He’s a little tied up at the moment.” You say with an odd sense of glee.
He nods and you take him to have tea with you and the others.

Arthur’s Room</u>
The doctor wipes his hands on the towel and looks up at the three men standing over him. He was used to coming here but he didn’t like the looks everyone gave him when he needed silence. This was a very difficult task to do without Arthur being at hospital to do it. He thought he did a fairly good job of handling the situation, considering who it was after all, and if they had talked he knew he would have botched it up.
“He’ll live, if that’s what you want to know.”
“About time ye said something.” Allister growls.
“I told you I needed complete silence.”
“Well the least you could do was given us a hint along the way.” The slenderer of the two gingers growls, crossing his arms.
The man stands up, going toward his doctor bag.
“I don’t make many home visits unless you two are back, ya know?” he says, looking at Allister. “Welcome back, by the way.”
“Aye, good to be home.”
The two give a small hug to each other and the doctor sniffs, wrinkling his nose.
“You smell like sweat, sea water, and piss.”
“Aye, a pirate’s life for me. Ye could have been a great pirate, ye could have been the doctor we needed when this happened.”
“You know I’m not into the open ocean idea.” He looks back at Arthur and frowns a little. “Tell me why he didn’t make a sound when I stitched him up; I know something weird happened.”
Allister stuck his hands in the pockets of his pants.
“The stone gave me navigation, the stone gave him numbness.”
The doctor’s eyes widen. “You’re still carrying that thing around with you?!”
“Aye, we haven’t gotten the sacrifice done yet.”
“What the hell is the matter with you?! I thought you have that behind you! Allister, the Royal Guard-“
“Doesnae ken we’re here, right?”
“Of course…”
“An they willnae e’er ken it, right, Dylan?”
“No.”
“Alright then. So what’s your worry?”
“The girl, Allister. Does that girl know what you are going to do with her?”
Allister looks at the door and then back at Dylan, who is staring at him with wide eyes.
“No. She doesnae.”
“So you’re streaming her along?”
“I’m doing no such thing.” He points at Arthur. “He was the one who got her and caused the little tart to fall in love with him. The only thing I’m doing is upping the game.”
Dylan wipes his hands and walks grabs his doctor bag, walking to the door.
“This is why Aoife has an affinity toward the both of you. You play around with people’s lives that don’t need to be messed with. Send Seamus when Arthur wakes up so I can assess him, will ya? Yao is too obvious.”
Dylan leaves the room and Allister looks at Seamus and Yao.
“That bit about the girl doesnae leave this room, ye understand? She cannae ken what Arthur has in store for her. It’d break her heart and we cannae have that.”
The two nod and go out to tell the girls that Arthur is fine.
yay, arthur is safe but are you? seems like there is a plan happening that you are unaware of! and yes, i made ireland (regular ireland) a girl. I dunno if aoife is a fanmade name but if it is, the name goes to that person. since there isn't much known about the country, i use the female version despite other's opinion.
and yay, baby america and canada. i read that england had brought canada to visit england at one point. if i'm not mistaken, he's actually being raised by france at the moment... which is why he asked for francis haha. you're nice person though so you took notice of him
and yes, i made dylan a doctor. no one said he couldn't be

and the language spoken is irish. it's mostly saying that people should die and not wanted

So I've read up to the most recent chapter... and I feel that it is unforgivable that you don't get more credit for your fanfiction!
It has a lot of potential, that's for sure. I love it how the romance isn't rushed and the pacing of the relationship between the members and Arthur is quite good.
I wish you luck on not ruining the setting though - I feel like the plot might go after the Pirates of the Caribbean, but I hope romance might take over the action in this piece of work. ^^

I am not sure if the Reader's die-hard plan is to conquer Arthur's heart is confirmed, but if it were to ever come spiraling down to that point, I would recommend to let the Captain take turns and take over (like, control of the relationship and some smexy times //slapped hard).

I encourage you to work hard like in the first chapters! You do have my humble support, my dear fellow! ^^
