Yao looks over the captain and shakes his head as the rest of the crew waits anxiously behind the door. He looks up at Francis and shakes his head.
“There is nothing much I can do. We don’t have the proper supplies nor do I have the proper utensils to do anything. We need to go to land.”
“Charles said that he can’t see any land… he said that most likely we won’t be near land for days. We can’t leave the captain like this.” Francis growled. “I’m not that fond of the man but he’s a damn good captain…”
“That’s not what I overheard.” You say as you press a cool rag to Arthur’s forehead. You look up as they stare at you. “What?”
“What did you hear?” Francis says, his blue eyes glaring at you.
“Nothing too much. But I did overhear that you might want to mutiny…” you say nonchalantly as you squeeze another rag out to put over the wound.
“Are you trying to threaten us, Ms. [your last name]?”
“Nothing of the sort. I just find it funny that say you appreciate him when you said you thought he was hiding something from you. It all seems rather silly…”
Francis looks at you as Yao shrugs, putting gauze on Arthur’s wound.
“She’s right, Francis, there’s no need to be a kiss-ass now.”
Francis makes a face and grabs your arm, getting up and taking out you of the room.

You are pulled past the awaiting crew and down the steps to the deck. Franics whirls you around and then grabs your shoulders, staring into your eyes with a strange malice.
“Ms. [your last name], you are knocking on a very secret door. You don’t know about us and what we have had to go through. You’re just a girl that we can use to fulfill our own tasks, not someone we exactly need.”
You put your hands on your hips. “From what I understand, I was rescued from Corriedo because I was needed for your journey!”
“That was before we ended up having to go back to land. Now that we’re going to land, if you don’t watch yourself, you’ll never see your family again. The captain is not capable of directing this ship, which makes me the commander of this ship since I am next in charge! Now, I suggest you keep your trap shut or I will desert you and find another lady who will suit our needs.”
His grip is very harsh and you have been trying to struggle your way out of it all this time when a looming shadow comes over the both of you.
“Now, now, Francis, that’s no way to treat the key person in our exhibition, is it?” a deep voice rings out.
Francis turns and his eyes widen. He lets go of you and you fall to the floor as he begins to walk backwards. He hurt your bum but you look up in confusing to find a very large, very handsome man standing over you with his large arms crossed. You can see the scars of days passed all over his bare torso but you also notice that what is left of his clothing (which were pants) is very nice; much nicer than even Arthur’s clothing. Sure they are dirty and the boots are a little scuffed but they are definitely finely made. A little too finely made.
“Good eve’n, lass. This Frenchman seems to be saying some verreh rude thing to ye.”
“C-C-Captain!” Francis stuttered.
“Aye. Hello, Bonnefoy, it’s been a while.” The ginger says, looking at Francis. “If’n I be rememberin’ correctly, ye were the starter of the first mutiny, eh?”
“N-n-n-no, of course not, Captain.”
“No need to be shy.” The very large ginger says, walking toward Francis as the Frenchman seems to pale with every step backwards. He wraps a large arm around him. “Ye should take credit for ye creative liberties, Bonnefoy… Kelly!”
“Yes, Captain?” she says, coming to stand erect though looking like a small child beside the large man.
“Please, if ye would, show Mr. Bonnefoy my special chambers…”
“Aye, aye, sir!”
Kelly walks over and grabs Francis by the wrists, taking Francis away. The very large man looks at you and gives you’re a cocky grin.
“Um… who are you?”
“Oh, I’m sorry I dinnae introduce myself earlier; my name is Allister Kirkland, Captain Kirkland at yer service. And what be your name, lass?” He says, bowing to you.
You look at the Scotsman and lift your eyebrow.
“Kirkland? As in…”
“The current captain’s older (and more experienced) brother.”
You look at him and make a face.
“And where have you been all this time?”
“Aye, that be a good question. Another question is what is ye name?”
“Oh, it’s [your name].” you say with a half hearted curtsy.
Seeming impressed, Allister bows back to you a little overcompensatingly.
“Now that those silly formalities are out of the way, where is my dear younger brother? I thought I’d have heard this annoying voice yelling at me by now like a pansy.”
“I’m afraid he’s been shot, Allister.” Yao says, walking out of the captain’s quarters, wiping his hands on the towel. “How did you get out?”
The rest of the crew turns as if they didn’t realize Allister had been there but Allister just smiled.
“A little bird told me there may be another mutiny and I ken my little brother could ne’er handle such a surprise. Barely could do it myself.”
“Y-you were the captain before Arthur?” you ask.
“Aye… He’s got a fine catch in ye, lass; you’ll do good for our purpose… Yao, ye say Arthur is shot? I kenned my brother to be a little more cautious than that.”
“Carriedo shot him.” Yao says, leaning on the banister.
“Dirty Spanish bastard… Come, lass, let’s get acquainted.”
“Ac- What do you mean?!”
Allister throws a playful grin over his shoulder as he heads for the stairs.
“Ye ken what I mean.”
No, I don't ken! you think as you run after him. Allister tries to go inside but Yao moves in front of him and glares at Allister.
"Oi, what is the meaning of this?"
"I want to know what you did to him."
"What do ye mean? I did ne'er a thing to the boy. What's all this nonsense about?"
"When he was shot, Carriedo shot him pointblank but he never twitched. We've been on the sea for days and he's showed no real signs of being shot until [your first name] went in to check on him and he was on the floor. I can only think of one thing that could do something like that and none of us has ever seen the captain go down and use it."
Allister smirks and then laughs heartily, holding his head back.
"Yao, ye dinnae seem to understand. Ye cannae just ask for something and it give it to ye. You cannae just wish something on someone else. The stone gives it to ye, whether ye like it or not. For those who find it, it's a gift that it bestows. Only when ye do the ritual do ye ask of it what ye want."
Yao's eyes widen as Allister touches his shoulder.
"Do ye think we'd keep ne'er a one of ye in the loop? We would ne'er do such a thing... Now, let me in to see my brother."
Yao sighs but moves and Allister opens the door, you following close behind.

Arthur is lying on his cot, breathing rapidly, and you quickly go over and take the rag off of his head, dunking the rag in water. You ring out the rag and then stick the cool cloth on Arthur's forehead again as he lolls his head back and forth, seeming to have a nightmare.
Allister just stares at him for a moment from above and you look up at him.
"Why are you just staring?"
Allister kneels down and watches Arthur for a moment before he tenderly grabs his hand.
"Me brother and I arenae that friendly toward one another. That probably be why he mutinied against me... but I've always had a small soft spot for him. Seeing him so helpless is almost degrading... Where is his wound?"
"On his stomach."
Allister lifts his shirt and frowns.
"This is the best any of ye can do?"
"We don't have a doctor and Yao could only do what he could. I only know how to change dressing, nothing else."
"I guess that be why Kelly let me out..."
"What's this thing you guys are talking about? Arthur said we were going to an island in the middle of the ocean that only comes up under the full moon or something?"
"Aye, that's where we are headed."
"What about these wishes and stuff?"
"Our cargo is very special. I cannae tell ye exactly details about it but it's a stone that has some... magical properties. When Arthur and I found it, we thought we hit the jackpot. But we ne'er kenned that there was more to it than just gathering the stone. It gave me, I kenned, a unique gift but I dinnae ken it gave Arthur one too."
"What gift would that be?" Yao says, coming up behind us.
"For me, I have the whole world in my head. All I need to do is turn and I knew where I'm going. Only Arthur and Kelly kenned, and now you two know. From what's been explained, it looks like Arthur cannae feel anything."
"Can't feel?"
"Ye said that he got shot and dinnae make ne'er a twitch, eh?" Yao nods. "Then that's what happened. He cannae feel nothing. Bastard probably dinnae e'en ken he was shot himself; probably thought it skimmed by him."
“I don’t think so because he looked straight at Carriedo and said that ‘he would let this one slide but next time he’d be back’. If he didn’t know about it then he wouldn’t have said anything about it to the Spaniard. You both have been keeping secrets from us.”
“We have done nothing of the sort.” Allister growls, standing to his full height which is a good foot and half taller than Yao. “An’ I will not have threats aboard my ship.”
“It’s my ship, you bastard!” Arthur suddenly yells.
The three of you turn as Arthur lolls his head to and fro.
“It’s my ship… my ship…” he mumbles. “I stole it first…”
Allister smirks at Arthur. “Aye, ye took the last one brother, but not this one. This be mine and ye ken it.”
“Bloody Scotsman taking my ship…” he grumbles, throwing his hand in the air to hit ‘someone’ but it just flops back as quickly as it rose.
Allister chuckles. “He e’en hates me in his sleep. How’s that for affection?” His expression turns serious suddenly and he turns to both of you. “His hallucinations, though humorous, are not good signs. I can navigate us back to the land… If I can see where we are, I may e’en be able to get us to our home. It will be nice to get back to land for a bit, see the family…”
“Family?” you say, perking up a little.
“Aye, we have some family back on land. Brothers and a sister… I’m sure Arthur won’t be pleased to see me when he gets better but everything is worth a try. Yao!”
“Yes, sir?” he says, saluting.
“Tell the crew to set sail for land. When I get out into the air, I can tell us what direction to go but everyone needs to man their posts. And wherever that Frenchman was supposed to be put someone else there.”
“Aye, aye!”
Yao leaves and Allister looks at you.
“And ye, bonnie lass, ye just keep Arthur safe. If anything seems odd, let me know. If me bearings are correct as they are, we should be on land within two days time. Let’s pray God is kind…”
He turns but not before looking over at the small closet that is in the corner. He walks over to open it and then smiles. He grabs a white shirt and puts it on and then pulls out a very elaborate black jacket. It looks to be stitched of the finest of materials, etched in the finest patterns. He throws the jacket on and smoothes it out, breathing in. Now that he is fully dressed, you can see the resemblance for Arthur in the large man but this man…
“Ye like what ye see, Ms. [your last name]?”
“I um… I’m just admiring your glorious jacket.”
“Aye, nice little thing innae it? ‘Tis made to perfection, though the wrong color…” he says with a small frown.
“Seems too lovely for a pirate.”
Allister cuts his blue eyes to you and you see something sinister there. “Aye, ‘tis too nice for a pirate.” He lifts up a cutlass to examine the blade. “But not for an admiral… such a shame that guy got in my way.”
Your eyes widen as he smiles at you, blade still in the air. You’re sure the smile was supposed to comforting but all you see is malice. He puts the blade in its holster and leaves the captain’s quarters. You can only feel a lump in your throat as you compose yourself again.
Allister Kirkland is not all that he seems.
uh oh, it looks like allister has been released and reclaimed his ship! :nuu: and francis has been taken to the brig :iconhandcuffsplz: so now we're going to go back on land and see some family and get your baby all fixed up. along the way though it seems as if kirkland 1 is trying to seduce you. swim away fugu fish! :iconpinkunicornplz::iconblueunicornplz:
