I wish I could hear without opening my eyes.
I didn’t want to look down at the people as I ignored the words of execution that were annoyingly buzzing about. I didn’t want to stare at the faces of the crowd, seeing their expressions of hate.
But if I didn’t keep my eyes open, I wouldn’t have been able to see her calling my name from the castle. Although I can’t tell what feelings lay behind them, at least I knew someone cared enough to call out, whether in hatred or in sorrow. Just seeing the Easter lilies making my name was enough… until I saw something else.
I saw my name out of the corner of my eye and looked toward the crowd that was parting. I saw what I had been searching for my whole life.
“Benjamin…” she said again and finally my life was whole.
The only thing I didn’t understand was who she was and why those almond blossoms meant so much to me.

Devin’s POV:
I woke with a smile. I was finally free of that fucking chair. I smiled content and got up to pee. I walked off to our bathroom to relieve myself. I sighed once done and washed my hands. I put on loose sweatpants and walked downstairs in search of food. I saw Jenson on the couch. I walked over. “Hey man. How you doing? And excuse me for saying but you are here early today.”

It was nice to have someone there with me for once. I woke the next morning and stretched. I felt the babies shifting a bit and then felt a hand on my stomach. I looked down and smiled as I remembered Matt spent the night. I gently rolled over to face him and smiled. He was sleeping still. He looked so peaceful.
I smiled just watching him content. I watched him for who knows how long. Then I heard him take a deep breath. Not long after that, his eyes opened. I smiled at him and he reached up pushing some hair from my eyes. I smiled at him. “Morning.”
He smiled back to me. “Morning sexy.” I blushed and he looked at my
